Whispers of the Orchard

The girl wandered into the orchard, where the trees whispered secrets only the wind could hear. She followed the crooked path until it ended at a clearing, where a giant apple, crimson as dusk, lay nestled between the roots. Its surface shimmered like polished glass, and a sweet, unfamiliar scent filled the air. She sat beside it, her fingertips tracing the veins of its skin as if searching for the pulse of something alive within. The orchard seemed to breathe with her, the leaves rustling like lullabies, and for a moment, she felt as if she had stepped into the heart of a forgotten dream.
